Using PUZZLE to create a finished 3D print file from IO scans

BiSS Puzzle automates and links the necessary steps to create a 3D-printable model file from an IO scan file within the Integrated Auto-Assistance Workflow (iAW). BiSS Puzzle thus embodies our commitment to “Fast. Simple. Intuitive.” for software products from Promadent, the same platform that underpins all previous modules of the BiSS Dental Software Suite.
By fully automating the digital workflow for creating 3D-printable model files with BiSS Puzzle, some previously required manual steps are no longer necessary. This saves personnel resources, especially those of skilled workers.
For example, if you process and prepare 15 IO scan data sets for printing each day in your practice or laboratory, this quickly adds up to more than 160 minutes of work time per day. That’s 13 to 14 valuable working hours per week.
BiSS Puzzle automatically accesses stored scan files from your intraoral scanner via Auto-File-Collect and imports them into the work environment. The scan files of the digital impression are then processed into a 3D-printable model file using the Integrated Auto-Design (iAD) module, which is already successfully used in the BiSS Model Creator. Base creation, hollowing out, attaching base supports, and labeling – these steps are completely automated.
The 3D-printable model data sets are collected and placed by BiSS Puzzle on your 3D printer’s virtual 3D printing platform (auto-nesting). All you have to do is click “Print”. Once a platform is fully placed, the next one is created automatically.
Depending on the printer type, butt fits with different parameters and printer accuracies are automatically reconstructed to achieve the desired fits.
Naturally, the processed model data sets (STLs) are always available for other extended applications for BiSS users or can be sent to a partner milling center, for example.
